Lucy’s cycles

OKAY! So…

I have spent ALOT of hours trying to perfect these cycles and honestly I think I did a good job for someone who struggles with cycles.

This is the walk cycle frame by frame. I first made an 8 frame walk cycle but this lacked some frames to show how the shoes cross past each other to give the illusion that she is walking and not just glitching on one spot. This is where the bottom two frames come in where I just added the “shoe crossing” frame. It really helped make walk cycle ALOT and look a lot smoother.

This is the duck cycle frame by frame. This is just a two frame cycle. This is only two frames because this has to have to happen really fast (when she ducks for spiders coming down from their webs.)

This is he final result of the duck by itself.

I added this into the walk cycle and its pretty smooth. I was surprised by this since its only two frames but YAY everyone loves a good smooth moment without really trying. hehe.

The jump cycle was probably the one I struggled with the most. I probably did it like 4 times over. For the final attempt I went to my brother who plays a lot of games and knows quite a bit when it comes to animation.

He drew this for me and it helped me soooooo much! Thank you younger brother!!

So I copied this and here is the result. This is a 7 frame cycle. The first frame was a little add on by me. Because it looked a little weird just jumping from a standing position. So the first frame is a little bend and it fixed the weird momentum-less jump going on.

I am really happy with these and think they will work in the game (hopefully) There is always room for improvement, but I really put a lot of effort in this and I really am proud of my effort and results
