Objectives:

  • Demonstrate sound and advanced technical skills of Motion Graphic Design such as timing, video editing, special effects, colour grading, compositing, music and sound editing etc.;
  • Develop a vocabulary and visual language for motion;
  • Be able to reinforce advanced visual communications principles in the execution of motion graphics;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of historical and current perspectives in the area of motion graphics;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of motion graphic design principles in applied practice;
  • Identify and apply methods and processes for conceptualizing in time-based media (diagramming, storyboarding, key-framing, etc.);
  • Understand the categories of commercial adds, banners, cut downs, various digital video campaign applications.
